Can I choose polarized or photochromic sunglasses?

What do you think if I should choose polarized or photochromic sunglasses? I know the advantages of polarized sunglasses as they can eliminate the glare from the surface of the road and the headlight of the coming cars, but photochromic lenses can improve the contrast of vision of outside and inside the windshield, so, what do you think?
