Can I have such lenses for driving?

I need to wear progressive lenses, and I found a problem when driving, as the sides are blurry as well as the bottom, and there really is no need for the bottom bit when you are driving, so I was wondering if you can do a single vision lens with just the top of the glasses, and I heard that polarized lenses do great benefit at driving situation, as they can eliminate the glare effectively, I don't know whether this is possible but would like you to look into it if possible, but if you can, can you do me a favor?
