Why cannot I order reading eye wears?

I often feel eye red and fatigue, sometimes, even headache after long time of working at computers, my workmates suggested me to try reading eyeglasses, which may reduce the eye fatigue and strain, actually, but the optician old me it was not available for me to get them if I insisted to choose full rim frames, as my prescription is really low, my OS is -1.00 and -0.50 for OD, it’s hard to notch on the edges as the edge of the lenses will be very thin because of my low prescription! What can I do now?
