Need thin lenses!

What do you care most when buying eyeglasses, I love those light color frame or the rimless frame, as such eyeglasses seem to be best suited for all sorts of human faces. But I have a really strong prescription, though I have ordered high-index lenses, they still seem to have a thick edge, which may cause the lenses to be bent up easily by some pressure or if you drill holes on them, so what kind of lenses can solve this problem?
